Fade back to the interview room, this time with the RED Spy. What dreams of chronic and sustained cruelty? There is the sound of the Pyro's breathing and a single white spot which zooms forward and splits into a binocular view. When these focus, it shows a psychedelic dreamscape.
The Pyro's flame thrower appears in its hands as an unusually-shaped brass instrumentspraying a rainbow-coloured mist over ground, causing colourful flowers to spring from the lawn in front of him.
Within this dreamscape, BLU characters appear as chubby little cherubs and sound like babies. The two converge seemingly happily. While the Pyro in the dreamscape shoves the lollipop in the Heavy's mouth, the scene cuts to the battle as he hits the Heavy with the Fire Axe.
The Pyro blows bubbles in his face in its vision, but shoots the Scout point blank with the Scorch Shot in the battle, knocking him back. The BLU cherubs salute and celebrate the Pyro. Cut back to reality. He crawls over to the ankle of a nearby person. The sound of a Dispenser and then a teleporter being destroyed in the distance is heard. The Sniper can be heard screaming as the view zooms in on the Pyro's mask, flames reflecting off the eyepieces as the Pyro tilts its head.

One of the pages for the Halloween update includes a dating advert that's obviously written by the Scout - the gratuitous amounts of self-praise mean it couldn't have been made by anyone else. In "A Cold Day in Hell" he passes up what's probably one of the few chances he'll get to have sex with a decent woman Heavy's sister, Zhanna because he's convinced Miss Pauling will like him if he keeps waiting.
A cutaway in the short "Expiration Date" shows he actually can score girls, and has before, however, said girls are implied to also not be very We both got buckets of chicken. You wan' do it? The Scout trained himself to run everywhereoriginally so he could reach fights in time to have some fun before his seven older brothers got there. This translates to 25 feet per second, or And that's not taking into account his jumping abilities.
Initially Scout's interest in Miss Pauling was treated as nothing more than macho posturing by him that was ignored by her out of disgust.
Meet the Pyro
This was supported by mentions of other attempts by him to pick up chicks such as on the description for The Fast Learner. Then "A Cold Day In Hell" hinted that Scout's crush on her might actually be sincere, followed by "Expiration Date" recharacterizing their relationship. The end result was that Scout actually likes her as a person but doesn't know any other way to ask her out other than hitting on her like any random stranger, and Miss Pauling isn't against dating him and merely didn't notice his feeble attempts to ask her out.
Apparently, God chose Scout to lay with all of the women on Earth. Scout agrees with this, but he's dead just right before this information got to him.

So Scout has a Bargain with Heaven to continue the "commitment" until he's truly dead in December 4, Then again, that could be a posthumous hallucination just like Sniper went through; or alternatively, if it was Heaven, God might have just been playing along with Scout's ego because that's exactly what Scout's version of Heaven would entail.
Hermes, or Mercury, the god of the thieves and a Trickster Archetype. The Scout's symbol is the winged sandals of Mercuryand even one of Scout's many cosmetical items is called 'Hermes'. He is hard to control for many veteran FPS players, due to his ludicrous speed. On the other hand, truly veteran FPS players might get a sense of nostalgia from the quick movement and emphasis on dodging attacks rather than soaking them up.
